** International Blues Challenge Winner 2007**


Oklahoma Blues Society sponsored the local International Blues Competition, Sunday, November 12, 2006. Seven bands competed in the event. The judges selection was based on the scoring criteria recommended by the "The National Blues Foundation". Blues Content, Talent, Originality & Stage Presence. Dan and the band will be going to Memphis February 1, 2, & 3rd, 2007 to compete in the national competition.

Dan found his love for music when he was 10 years old. He credits his Mom for introducing him into the world of music. “ I learned everything from her, Thank You Mom” She is gone now but still lives in his heart with his songs and music. He also gives thanks to God for his musical abilities.

His band career began 16 years ago with Dangerous Dan & The Boogiemen. The band played Texas blues and rockin boogie at several clubs in Oklahoma City while also jamming at all the jam sessions in town. At the time Dan was working daily and raising a family. His first priority was his family so his playing time came second.
His children are grown now, so he has the time & energy to excel in his music. Come out and join us for a show..."ROCKIN' BLUES"
