“Art Happens” is a community event for the senses, to see, hear, and touch, featuring drawings and watercolors by Pat Pearson of Midwest City, Oklahoma, and original music and arrangements by Lew Hall of Moore, Oklahoma. The event is Saturday, June 9th, 2007 from 2:00 pm. to 4:00 pm at the Midwest City Metropolitan Library located at 8143 East Reno in Midwest City, Oklahoma.
Meet Pearson and view finished works of art and works in progress. Watch as Pearson demonstrates in watercolor how she begins a new painting and discusses her process. See the artist’s materials and tools used to produce the works. Then try your hand at using professional art materials and tools at a table provided and keep your one of a kind art work.
Meet Hall, a popular musician at several festivals around Oklahoma including The Arts Festival of Oklahoma. Hall is a member of the Oklahoma City Traditional Music Association. Listen to him play the acoustic guitar in the genres of Big Bill Broonsy’s Delta Blues and Ragtime. Talking to the musician is allowed and encouraged.
Nibbling on light refreshments provided is permitted throughout the event.
